Congressional Awards

This is a fabulous opportunity for your child/children to grow in many different ways. My youngest son had the opportunity to achieve the Gold Congressional Medal. This is a huge accomplishment!

I recommend this program to each and every child over the age of 14 until the age of 23. This award is a individual achievement award and non-competitive. The award challenges the child to develop goals/objectives and achieve those challenges under the supervision of mentors they select to monitor their progress.

Children earn Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas; Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.

As your child/children meet each level of The Congressional Award they are acknowledged by their legislator. Your child will be awarded the The Gold Congressional Medal from their U.S. Representative. If they achieve The Gold Congressional Medal they are invited to Washington, D.C. for a reception.

There is a nominal fee of $15 to register for the Congressional Award.
